Privacy policy
What Tartarus AI stores, how long it keeps it, who can see it, and how to delete it. Last updated 6 August 2026.
What we collect
An account requires an email address and either a password or a Google sign-in. If you pay for a plan we keep a record of the payment: amount, currency, period and its confirmation status. We keep your conversations, the messages in them and per-request token counts, which is what the usage page is built from. Ordinary server logs record request metadata such as IP address and user agent.
What we do not collect
There is no card on file and no stored billing profile, because plans are prepaid in cryptocurrency. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Training
Your conversations are not used to train models. They are stored so that you can return to them, and for nothing else.
Where your messages go
A message you send is passed to the inference service that produces the reply. If a request uses web search, the search terms the model chooses are sent to the search provider and the pages it selects are fetched. Nothing else about you accompanies either request.
Retention and deletion
Conversations remain until you delete them. Deleting a conversation removes it from your account immediately and it is purged from storage thereafter. Deleting your account removes your conversations and messages; payment records are retained where we are required to keep them for accounting purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies and local storage
Tartarus AI stores your session token and your theme preference in the browser's local storage. Both are functional: without the first you cannot stay signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes with it and account holders are notified by email before the change takes effect.
